Iran Situation Update – April 13, 2026

DAILY SUMMARY

The situation in the Middle East remains elevated despite the two-week ceasefire agreement between Israel, the U.S., and Iran. The failure to reach a resolution during the Islamabad discussions raises concerns on the durability of the two-week ceasefire, amid increasing pressure as the U.S. plans to implement a blockade of Iranian ports, and Iran threatens to resume kinetic action.

Major airspace across the Middle East has reopened since the two week ceasefire agreement. Should hostilities resume short notice airspace closures are likely to reoccur.
